About the Opportunity
The School of Nursing invites applications for a full-time Open Rank Non-Tenure Track Clinical Professor and Program Director for the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program offered at the Charlotte, NC campus. This position has an anticipated start date in July 2026. The candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence and commitment to supporting faculty, staff, and student environments. The candidate should possess a terminal degree in Nursing, Education, or related field. We welcome candidates with interdisciplinary expertise who can lead and collaborate with faculty and researchers at Bouvé and across Northeastern University. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, engaging in scholarship, and participating in departmental, college, and university service. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations.
Responsibilities of the Program Director include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee governance, regulatory, curriculum, licensure, accreditation, and program compliance processes.
• Ensure timely submission of academic milestone and student documentation forms.
• Collaborate on strategic enrollment growth and sustainability planning.
• Recruit and yield qualified students and ensure accurate communications.
• Evaluate applicants for admission and internal transfer.
• Monitor academic standing and oversee graduation clearance.
• Foster external professional and clinical relationships.
• Represent the program at department, college and university events.
• Execute program assessment, accreditation and licensing review.
• Forecast and manage program resources, faculty workload and scheduling.
Qualifications
• Terminal degree in Nursing, Education, or related field by appointment start date.
• Evidence of research and scholarship, teaching excellence, and commitment to supporting faculty, staff, and student environments.
• Licensure in North Carolina.
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Massachusetts.
Pay Range:
52-week salary ranges: Assistant Clinical Professor: $84,000.00 - $102,000.00 | Associate Clinical Professor: $92,000.00 - $112,000.00 | Clinical Professor: $101,000.00 - $123,000.00
With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
