Required Qualifications:

• Valid Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner NYS and National Certification (AGNP-AC)

• Valid NY State Professional Nurse License

• Recent Nurse Practitioner Experience in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctoral Degree (Earned or In Progress)

• Upper Division Teaching Experience

• Experience Precepting Nurse Practitioner Students

• Leadership/Supervisory Experience

 
Job Description:
The Stony Brook University School of Nursing invites applications for a 0.8–1.0 FTE faculty appointment within our Graduate Program, along with the opportunity to serve as Program Director of the Adult–Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) program. This is an exceptional chance for an experienced Adult–Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to play a key role in educating the next generation of advanced practice nurses while contributing to the continued development and growth of an established graduate program within a nationally recognized academic health center.

We seek a dynamic clinician–educator with recent adult–gerontology acute care clinical experience who demonstrates excellence in advanced practice and a commitment to graduate nursing education. Candidates with experience precepting nurse practitioner students, teaching in upper division or graduate nursing programs, and/or serving in leadership or supervisory roles are strongly encouraged to apply.
